At present,various treatment methods have been studied and developed for coking wastewater.Coking equipment accessories can be divided into physical method,physicochemical method,chemical method,and biological method based on the principles of the methods.Physical methods mainly include sedimentation,mechanical,centrifugation,coarsening,filtration,membrane separation,etc;Physical chemical methods mainly include flotation,adsorption,ion exchange,etc;Chemical methods mainly include coagulation,acidification,salting out,electrolysis,etc;Biological methods mainly include activated sludge,biofilters,oxidation ponds,etc.According to the treatment points,it can be divided into treatment(recycling pollutants from high concentration sewage,including ammonia water dephenolization,ammonia distillation,final cooling water decyanation,etc.),secondary treatment(harmless treatment of phenol cyanide sewage,mainly Activated sludge),tertiary treatment(mainly refers to the treatment adopted when the effluent after biochemical treatment still fails to meet the discharge standard,mainly including activated carbon adsorption,activated carbon biofilm and oxidation pond).

At present,most metallurgical coking enterprises above designated size in China have specialized sewage treatment facilities.The treatment process of coking wastewater treatment plants generally follows conventional methods of pre-treatment followed by biological dephenolization secondary treatment.However,after the above treatment of coking wastewater,it is still difficult to meet the standards for indicators such as chromaticity,CODcr,and ammonia nitrogen in the discharged wastewater.

The combustion temperature of the coke oven is about 1000℃,which puts the surrounding equipment in a harsh high-temperature baking environment.So,the coke oven equipment is suitable for high temperature to ensure the smooth combustion process,which is also a problem that troubles coking production.
