Although the structural forms of the dry quenching device are different,the process flow is basically the same.The mature red coke is pushed into the coke tank from the carbonization chamber,and the coke tank containing the red coke is transported to the lifting tower by a coke tank truck,and then lifted to the top of the dry quenching tank by a lifting machine.The red coke is loaded into the dry quenching tank and undergoes countercurrent heat exchange with cold inert gas in the cooling chamber,cooling to below 250℃.The cooled coke is discharged from the bottom discharge equipment of the dry quenching tank to the belt conveyor and sent to the user.The cold inert gas is fed into the dry quenching tank by a circulating fan,and after exchanging heat with the red coke,the temperature rises to around 800℃.The hot inert gas passes through a primary dust collector to remove the coarse coke powder entrained in the gas and enters the waste heat boiler.The gas temperature at the outlet of the boiler drops below 200℃,and then passes through a secondary dust collector to remove the fine coke powder in the gas.It is then sent back to the dry quenching tank for recycling using a circulating fan.The amount of coke and heat balance during the dry quenching process are closely related to the operating conditions of dry quenching.When the inert gas content is 1500m3/t coke and the oxygen content of the inert gas entering the dry quenching tank is less than 0.2%.

The main equipment of dry quenching includes coke transportation equipment,coke loading equipment,dry quenching tank,coke discharging equipment,dust collection equipment,powdered coke storage and transportation equipment,inert gas circulation equipment and waste heat boiler.

The coke transportation equipment includes coke tanks,coke tank trucks,transport vehicles,electric locomotives,and elevators.The coke tank is made of profile steel and steel plate,lined with heat-resistant cast iron plate.The bottom of the tank is equipped with a split gate,and there are suspension rods and guide rollers on both sides of the tank to tightly close the gate and ensure smooth lifting during the lifting process.The coke loading equipment is a mobile trolley.The trolley is driven by an electric cylinder,and is equipped with a mechanism for opening and closing the water seal cover of the dry quenching tank and a coke funnel for loading red coke into the dry quenching tank.

The dry quenching tank is a vertical cylinder,with a shell made of steel plate and lined with insulation bricks and clay bricks.The bottom cone section is integrated with the gas supply device,and the cone section is lined with a plate.The upper part of the tank is a pre storage chamber,which can generally accommodate about 1.5 hours of coke production.The lower part of the tank is a cooling chamber,and the general quenching time is about 2 hours.

The conical section at the bottom of the tank is equipped with a gas supply device,which is composed of a hood and a surrounding air ring.Inert gas enters the cooling chamber in two ways.There is a ramp between the pre storage chamber and the cooling chamber,and the hot inert gas flows through the ramp to gather in the annular duct.With the help of the adjustment device at each ramp port,it is evenly distributed radially along the cooling chamber.The coke discharge equipment mostly adopts intermittent coke discharge method.Use alternating valves to control the amount of coke discharged and prevent the loss of inert gas in the tank.Generally,coke is discharged more than 30 times per hour.Since the 1980s,continuous coke discharge equipment consisting of electromagnetic vibration feeders and rotary sealing valves has also been used.The function of dust collection equipment is to prevent dust diffusion during coke loading,discharging,and transportation.The main equipment includes dust collectors,ventilators,and coke powder discharge devices.There are two types of dust collection equipment:wet and dry.

Inert gas circulating equipment mainly includes circulating fan and primary and secondary dust remover.The circulating fan is centrifugal.Since the 1980s,adjustable speed motors have been used to change the flow rate of the circulating fan in order to save electricity consumption.The Soviet Union used a large fan and a small fan in parallel to adapt to changes in air volume.A dust collector is also known as a gravity settling tank.The settlement tank is made of steel plate as the outer shell and lined with clay bricks.Install a retaining wall in the groove,and the gas will collide with the retaining wall and deflect,causing the coke powder to settle down.The dust collector operates under negative pressure,with an inert gas temperature of about 800℃and a dust removal efficiency of nearly 50%.The secondary dust collector is a cyclone separator,with a steel plate shell and inner lining plate.It operates under negative pressure,with an inert gas temperature below 200℃,and a dust removal efficiency of 85-90%.There are also cases where multi tube cyclone dust collectors are used as secondary dust collectors,with dust removal efficiency reaching.1、The coke powder collected by the secondary dust collector and environmental coke dust device can be directly loaded into vehicles for transportation,or sprayed with water for transportation,or transported by pneumatic or hydraulic means.Most waste heat boilers adopt a vertical forced water circulation type.The outer shell of the waste heat boiler is made of steel plate,and the inner lining is made of refractory material or water-cooled wall panels.The boiler water pipes are composed of smooth and small diameter thin-walled serpentine pipes arranged in a horizontal staggered manner.The boiler operates under negative pressure.The steam production rate is closely related to the operation of the dry quenching device,with a general steam output of approximately 450~510kg/t of coke.

The generated steam can be utilized in three ways:(1)for power generation;(2)After the steam is depressurized by the generator,it is then incorporated into the steam pipeline network;(3)Incorporate into the steam pipeline network for direct use.
